Add UTM parameters to a link

Create links with UTM parameters that allow Google Analytics 4 to identify the campaigns that drive traffic to your landing page

Paste the link to your landing page below, type the UTM parameters you'd like to add, then click the "Create link with UTM parameters" button below. The tool will automatically add the UTM parameters to your link in the correct format and copy the UTM-tagged link to your clipboard.

How to add UTM parameters to your link with this tool

  1. Copy and paste the link to your landing page

Open your landing page in your browser. Copy the URL from the address bar and paste it into this tool. If your landing page is still in development, ask your developers to give you the production URL. (This is the URL users will open once the landing page goes live.)

  2. Type in or copy and paste the required UTM parameters

Every UTM-tagged link must have parameters for the source (utm_source), medium (utm_medium), and campaign (utm_campaign). So, to ensure your links work properly, we've made these fields required in the tool.

  3. Type in or copy-paste any optional UTM parameters as needed

Not all UTM-tagged links have a campaign ID (utm_id), term (utm_term), or content (utm_content) parameter, so we've hidden these by default. If you need to add any of these UTM parameters to your URL, click "Show optional fields," and the fields for them will show up.

  4. Create your UTM-tagged link

Once you've filled all the required fields and any optional fields you need, hit the "Create link with UTM parameters" button. The UTM-tagged link will be copied to your clipboard. You can then close this page and paste the link anywhere you want.
